360, Wii and PS3Hi everyone,
I started a thread like this on another forum and it proved quite popular so I thought I would post it here too.
What are your thoughts on these 3 consoles? Has anybody tried all 3? Who do you think will win? Will there be a winner? What about HD DVD vs Blueray?

Lol I am a genuine tomboy when it comes to games...lol I am going to enjoy this thread!
...i got nintendo DS and lite,ps2 xbox,gameboy advance and I've played xbox 360 and Wii..i was going to get ps3 but I could not be bothered to queue so I'll just have to settle for playing on someone elses (or wait for the ps3 rush to die down)
I guess my vote would got to ps2 and ...simply because the games are friggin great and the quality is decent...im sure ps3 is better in terms of graphics though..xbox and xbox 360 have unbelievably good graphics too (have you seen the actual game footage its like watching a cartoon movie!) but they have a limited number of games and on top of that when they released xbox 360 they stopped producing controllers which reaaaallly peeved me off because they have the most useless controllers ever which constantly break down ... so it was a mission and half finding new controllers..so they lost valuable points with me.... and the controllers I have now are some weird ones..does anyone remember how chunky the original controllers were...that was annoyin too..was glad when they changed the design..so if xbox want to stand a chance they better start making a wider variety of games and start manufacturing controllers again..i mean c'mon Sony still make ps2 controllers and thats been around longer than xbox..
as for nintendo wii what the friggin hell went on there...personally I dont like this one..i think its more suited to a younger audience because I am sooo not swayed by it..the whole concept is flawed if u ask me..if i wanted to play an arcade game I would go to an arcade and the graphics arent really all that..
I havent played ps3 yet but my friend owns one back in Japan and he thought it was a "must have gadget-because its versatile and and a impressive piece of home entertainment" however he critiques it by saying it has a limited selection of games (the same flaw with xbox 360)
personally I think Sony have a winner on their hand! It looks sleek and aerodynamic (dont know if thats neccessary lol) and its received favourable reviews!
If ps3 is even a slightly bit better than ps2 then it has my vote!
Apparently according to The Gadget Show they're both as good as eachother but think that HD-TV may do better because its a more familiar name
Boy i sound like a right gadget geek lol!

Some interesting thoughts MayMay. I know what you're saying about the Wii although Nintendo were focusing more on the interface rather than power or graphics. That's why it doesn't ship with HD ability.
Most of the reviewers are saying the same thing at the moment which is that the PS3 needs a "must-have" game. I think they're right.
Any other thoughts?

I think the graphics on PS3 are awesome, its um...pure, if that makes sense lol
Nintendo stuff is just cute and fun, not serious gaming, but yes, i have the DS + Lite, Xbox 360, PS2 and Wii and they all work wonders  i love them all equally lol, they all have some sort of uniqueness to them!

Hehe, yeah I think most people think they are equally good, tough one to call. I see that Halo 3 is released on Beta today. Shame my mum hasn't got her 360 yet. Lazy cow.
