Superstar Madonna will make an official statement regarding rumours she has adopted an African baby boy 'within 48 hours', according to a representative of the singer.
Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie arrived in Malawi last Wednesday and have met local orphans and government ministers during their time there.
When rumours first surfaced last week that the couple were adopting a sibling for the singer's daughter Lourdes and their son Rocco, Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said, 'She has not adopted a baby - despite reports that she has.'
However, today's The Sun newspaper in Britain claims the Material Girl has adopted a 13-month-old boy named David Banda, whose mother Marita died shortly after his birth. The tot's father Yohane Banda, 32, told the paper, 'I am very, very happy because as you can see there is poverty in this village and I know he will be very well looked after in America.'
When asked for comment by the Reuters news agency, a London-based spokeswoman for Madonna did not confirm or deny the adoption reports, but said, 'At this time we are unable to give you official confirmation. We may have an official statement within 48 hours."

I think that it's good for this child but I hope that Lola and Rocco won't be mad after his comming in the family !!!

I don't think they will be. If Angelina Jolie can manage it I am sure Madonna will. They are both strong women who seem to be able to split themselves in three!!!

has any one heard the rumours that madge is set to adopt another baby from malawi.Apparently a little baby girl called "mercy"...
apparently she intends on adopting mercy after david's adoptions become finalised..
oh and has anyone seen angelina jolie's new kid?Pax thien...he's sooo cute..
