mp3 playerHey guys! i'm going to buy and mp3 player, but i'm having trouble picking the perfect one. i'm looking for one with video, photo, and of course music capabilities. now, i've narrowed my choice down to 2 possibilities...Creative Zen Vision:M and the Video Ipod.
These 2 mp3 players look a like except the Creative Zen Vision:M is a bit thicker. In my opinion, the ipod looks better, but the Zen looks good too. The zen has more features and the battery life is supposedly better...i've been doing research and i still don't know which one to get!!! i'm leaning a bit towards the Zen...
so...i need your advice! help me out! which one should i get?
Video Ipod vs. Creative Zen Vision:M
by the way, the Zen has a better, clearer screen with more colors...(it's a better screen to see our beloved Cloud on! )
thanks!

Well I would suggest going with the Video IPOD. It really depends how many gigabites you want. The new ipod i read that it has a 18 hour battery life, and probally the best selling thing at the moment.
I almost bought one, but decdied not too!

hmm...still don't know what to pick...
i'm interested in getting a 30 gb...but is that too much? i love the look of the iRiver Clix (2gb), but is 2 gb too little???
i'm planning to put a lot of songs and photos, but not actual movies. i'll put short clips, like music videos...
the iRiver Clix is cute: http://www.iriveramerica.com/prod/ultra/clix/clix-2GB.aspx
help!
what should i pick?

I didnt get one because it was either the mp3 player or a digital camera. So i choose a digi camera instead. I Would just go with the ipod. 2gb in my opinion is not enough. Stick with the ipod. almost everyone in the world has one..

yup, 2 gbs is way too little.
i also realized that 30 gb may be too much for me.
i may not even need a mp3 player that plays video (120 hours of video??)...i'm probably not going to use all that.
i have a lot of thinking to do before i spend nearly $300 on a mp3 player...

ok...i settled in between, but leaning more towards the lower gbs.
i got a Zen MicroPhoto (8 gbs)...8 gbs may seem a little small, but i can work with it for now. i may "upgrade" later to a 30 gbs, but for my budget, the MicroPhoto was perfect for me. it's really cool looking too. it has a light that goes around it (<that doesn't make much sense)...i'll post a picture of it later.
funny, before i was trying to decide between a zen vision: m and a video ipod...i didn't get either.

Well i'm listening to mp3s on my phone- nokia 6230i and i'm perfectly happy:) Don't have to carry another device in my pocket.
But since creative is making best sound cards for computers, the mp3 players from this company should be very good...

I think a new ipod is coming out at the end of the year...perhaps you should wait for that. It's called "fullscreen ipod" and it'll have a larger screen than the video ipod. But then when a new gadget comes out...you should also wait for a couple of generations to come out so that all the kinks are fixed...
but definately go for the ipod...be it video or fullscreen

It comes in four different colours too!

Now Im shopping for IPODS at the moment.
I want to know does anyone own an ipod, and if so how many GB?
I want to get the video ipod. Either the 30gb or the 80 gb. I have loads of 1-2+ hour DJ mixes but I'm not sure if a 30 GB would hold? advice anyone?

i got an white video 5g ipod ry..its ok not perfect but its survivable..
my ipod has 30gb memory and can hold up to 7,500 songs..and i only got 30 on there...lol thats only cause i deleted all my songs..
but one thing i hate about the ipod is itunes..they're so fuckin annoyin!and sometimes limewire has the most f*cked up tunes..so it takes a while to find a good one..but so far ive had good luck..well ipod looks pretty but boy does it scratch easily ive got my case on and it still somehow manages to scratch it up!but with the right amount of care u can figure out how to get minimal amount of scratches
30gb might not be enuff for ur mixes as it can hold up to at least 10-15 hours of song BUT this depends on it bein 4min songs so the safe bet is to go with either the 60gb or 80gb as this can hold up to 100 hours of videos so imagine how many hours of playback for songs it has!
a downside with ipod is that it has weak batery life..if u listen to all ur songs once over the battery practically dies..but the good thing is that it doesnt take a long time to recharge it
if u want to put videos on ur ipod ur going to have to have them converted to mpeg-4 format as thats the only format the ipod will play..for this u can download videora..thats a software that will convert videos so they can be played on ur ipod
my personal opinion of the ipod is that it isnt perfect and does have its glitches but as long as u have it under guarantee apple will fix it for u..evil coporate bastards wont give u a new one but they'll do a pretty good job undoin whatever crap u've subjected ur ipod to
anyways if u do get an ipod jus do what i do and treat it like ur baby..dont drop it and make sure whatever u put on it isnt a corrupt file and that u check it through and get it from a reliable source..
anyways i hope ive helped u ry and let me know what u decide to do!
lol im such an ipod whiz!
