Plans for a Summer 2008 Tour??A MadonnaTribe First: Plans for the 2008 Tour are alive and kicking(source:Madonnatribe.com) http://www.madonnatribe.com/news/...ews&file=article&sid=1296 MadonnaTribe have received some updated info about the 2008 Tour that Madonna and her team have been working on since they were touring with the "Confessions" show last year - and that this site reported about first right after the last concert in Japan in September 2006. From what we hear, the 2008 Tour project is alive and kicking - the time span they are working on at the moment to set tentative dates and arrange deals with the venues is basically the one of a Summer tour. But - as the aim is to bring the tour to as many countries as possible - they are working on a scheme which includes a reduced number of concerts to take place in a single city, focusing on those who offer the best performance from a production/cost/ticketing point of view, and obviously the word "stadiums" comes to mind. Also, there is a chance that we'll have to deal with itineraries significantly different from the ones of Madonna's two most recent tours - meaning that there's a chance that the tour will start in Europe this time around and not in California like Reinvention and Confessions did. From what we hear plans to celebrate Madonna's 50 year birthday with a special event are still going on, although it is not sure if the much talked about Central Park concert in New York City will happen. It also seems that the "birthday concert" is being taken in consideration for TV broadcasting and DVD recording this time again, like it happened with the Confessions Tour. Plans are still yet to be final so we have to take all of the above with a grain of salt as things can change significantly in the next months, but the thing that excites us the most is to learn that - as of today - the tour celebrating Madonna's 25 Years in music business is a go! |

If the tour is starting in Europe, then maybe I might fly to any city that is doing the opening night. I don't want to wait til September when it comes to my area! 
And also, If the tour is really happening I hope that she'll do a gig @ Coachella again. It was an amazing first experience, but I hope she'll consider doing another festival gig next year!

I so hope she does tour.
I think its 99.9% a done deal with her signing to Live Nation. Also according to people close to Madonna she has has this planned since 2004! |

Doesn't Madonna make everyone who works with her sign a confidentiality agreement? Cloud wouldn't be able to say anything, even if he knew. Hopefully he'll perform with her again, that would be amazing. I'll never forget being really close to the side stage during Confessions Tour and seeing him do his solo routine before Live To Tell really close up. Seeing his moves in the flesh is even better than watching them on TV or DVD. |

Oh yes! I really hope this is true. I can't wait for another amazing and breathtaking tour! And I hope Cloud will be included as well, as nowadays a Madonna Tour without Cloud just doesn't work out

I'm kinda losing hope for this upcoming tour. It looks like the album won't come out til May and she wants to start a world tour this summer? Looks like I might see someone else then this summer? What about album promotions, Music videos interviews/tours, photoshoots? thats gotta take at least a good 3 months or so imo.
So if there is any news about a tour even happening, maybe I'll consider hoping it be later on in the year.

My friend has got my ticket. Were going to go see her in Oakland.
Shame that there wasn't any floor seats available. But w/e. lol. Might catch Madonna in Las Vegas, Miami, or Mexico City!
