Prince at the O2Just got back from Prince tonight and he is AMAZING 8-OI went with the lovely Gemma, Tony and Stefan. Dare I blaspheme and say Madonna should get her arse to one of his concerts to see how its done! I have been waiting to see Prince for what seems my whole life. For some reason or another never made it to a concert till today but he is a total legend and I've always loved his music. His tours, music videos and movies have always fascinated me. Tonight was unbelievable. I'm back at the O2 tomorrow with Tony and I seriously can't wait. I boogied my arse off and screamed my head off. 
Don't ask me what he played tonight. My brain doesn't hold such information. He did just churn out hit after hit. Mind-blowing! 
No camera but I did get this on my phone. It looks like we're miles away but we really were about 12 rows back from part of his symbol stage, (Block 111).

Madonna was going to collaborate with him, and they did produce the Love Song and a few unfinished tracks, but when everybody thought that they were just preparing us in Like A Prayer, madonna didn't want to work with him again; she found him a "boring company" 
I must admit I don't like Prince, never did.

When? I went to see him again tonight! he was brilliant and so were the crowd. Finally got to hear "7" live! yay!

I have always wanted to see prince. There were rumours of him years ago when he was goin to do a performance @ coachella!
when I was about 2 or 3 yrs old, whenever my sister put on mtv and one of princes video's came on and he would scream...I would literally run into the living room and say "PINCE" hahah I couldn't even pronounce the 'r'. *sighs* and to this day my sister says 'hey wanna listen to some pince" and its so embrassing yet so funny! AHH! Did you take any pics from the show sharon or videos? |

He doesn't like people taking pictures and both the O2 security and his people are very vigalant. Hence I got that one pic on my phone. |

He was amazing, as expected. I can't remember all the songs but he kicked off with Let's Go Crazy then straight into 1999. Cream and U Got The Look were played at the beginning as well. We were one of the few people dancing at the start of the show, a lot of his fans were just sitting down! Then he did a load of songs at the piano, including The Beautiful Ones and Insatiable. Everyone got off their arses at this stage as he finished the piano songs and went into Kiss. Then loads more top songs, finishing with Purple Rain.
After that he kept coming back for encores. He didn't play 7, but we got Take Me With U, Pop Life, DMSR, I Feel For You, Controversy, Sign Of The Times, Raspberry Beret, and loads more songs. I'm waiting for the next batch of tickets to go on sale and definitely will try to go and see him again. £31.21 for each ticket and a free CD is bloody good value for money. The stage was great and the whole show was just brilliantly put on. Really impressive and not too showy, with amazing musicians and brilliant singing. It's funny the way he's toned down his act since becoming a Jehovah's Witness. He won't do a lot of his old sexier songs and even changed the words. I laughed when he changed the line from DMSR from "work your body like a whore" to "work your body like a wholesome dame"! |

I have I think 4 now. I am thinking of using them as drinks coasters! LOL Prince is amazing and I wish I could go again before the final night. I have the concert and after show on the 21st. I think it may be the best ever.

I'm barely awake after an amazing night.
Prince was astounding. The main show was the best yet and the afterparty, I'm totally lost for words. Prince came on dead on 8.30pm (as you can see from Sky News). http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1285079,00.html Played till 10.45pm, obviously on and off in his usual manner. Then the aftershow ran from 1.05am-4.15am! Yes I am very tired getting home at 6.50am on the first train. Had great fun with my fiends Gemma and Tony, plus many Prince fans we met along the way. Amy Winehouse and Beverley Knight joined him at the after show. It was just crazy and I finally got 'Lets Go Crazy'.
