What shoild someone do...... if he wants to be a star? When I turn 21 I wanna come to America and chase my dream. But what should I do? Since most of you are from America, i beg you, help me. Where should I go? To Manhattan? How is life there? Rents are high? The jobs are well paid? Please tell me everything you know on this issue. Saying "I Wanna Be A Star" means I wanna dance and sing. Please tell me about the things i ask above. Thanks.

In my opinion you're better off in London. Pineapple is the epicentre of dance but not the be all and end all. The competition is absolutely ridiculous and dancers never make much money.

There's a couple of places you cloud go. You could go to New York City, unless you like doing theatre. Then you got London I think its also like NYC but im not too sure. Or you can go to Las Vegas to see if you can make it there also. There's always entertainment happening there. Here is a website I found... http://www.redmodelslv.com/ Its a modeling/talent agency from Las Vegas Tip:If you do some out to America make sure that an agency is for real. Loads of people would go pay an angent, and take their money and run! I wish you luck and at a stage near you!

Ryan is basically tryin to say some people run scam agencies
They ask people to put up some money and then just run off with your money,and you can't even get your money back even if you go to the Police Most legit agencies never ask for money up front,if they think you're good they will cover everythin and then when you start making money you start payin them back (normally they take a fraction of whatever you earn) So if any agency asks you for money ask for their credentials and ask alot of questions,if they are for real they won't have a problem answerin them I think the best thing you can do is to just send your demos off to different record companies,no point movin half way across the globe when you dont have a contract.Send your demos and if they like it they'll either call you or give you a ticket to fly out I wish you the best and hope u achieve your dreams |

Las Vegas seems to be the next Los Angeles. Within a few years, loads of modeling and acting agency's are making their mark in Vegas. I really think you can get more oppertunites doing like big huge Casino shows. Tourists, and Locals go there and enjoy it! Or like May said try looking up local agency's for your area or send out info about your with a picture and a resume. And I hope someone will get in contact with you!

I'm from Greece, and here it's impossible to become a dancing singer. Someone said abou demos. but the problem here is that, I do not plan to be a singer like Bjork, but I want to split my activities to 50% singing and 50% dancing. just like Madonna. So sending demos won't be a good idea. Could I send to them videos or sth like this were they can see how I dance.
And I wanna ask you sth elseQ Are there talent agencies in Nwe York City? Is it better to go to New York City or to Las Vegas? And please tell me about the resnt in those two cities/ From the lowest to the highest, in order to have some info about how expensive life is in those two cities. Thank you all for answering!!! |

I heard New York City is expensive to live in! Las Vegas is constantlly growing and rent is sometimes cheap. You got to find a really good place with room and the location. Like I said, its growing every month. New homes are bulding and that means...new jobs. Las Vegas is such a wild city. The City of Sin! I love it there! Theres tons of Talent Agencies in NYC. The theatre indrusty is more traditional(old-fashioned) than Las Vegas. I would do a search on two things.. 1.The Talent Agencies around the New York City Area and Las Vegas(I mean do serious research) 2.Which city seems more applying TO YOU and what city has more great oppertunities! How old are you GCloudFan? Because sometimes AGE can be a situation in Las Vegas(everything is age 21 and over for sometimes in the indursty) But you never know til you find out!
